XS650: The Evil Twin
The hardtail rear section was made using some 1 inch I had laying around along with the ends off of the factory swing arm. I used the same 1 inch tubing and bent up some small apes for the little beast. The treasure chest type box holds the electronics, battery and switches for the headlight and ignition. It was then covered with some hand tooled leather work as was the solo seat.

The forward controls and headlight mount are simple but effective. The headlight and the brake and clutch levers are harley parts from my buddys garage. I did 100% of the work myself and its a bitchin fun ride. I got a super low xs in the works and one more in the wings waiting.

The treasure chest is a nice touch. the Bike looked like it was in pretty bad shape when you got.
Are you tig welding your frame? I have a mig welder at the moment. Did you make a jig to keep your hardtail square? Im curious cause I would like to make my own bike too. I got two complete ones and one engine. Got to do something with them lol
So,what’s the bike history buddy?
Where did you get your inspiation?
Do you know any other xs650 builders?
Where did you get all your parts?
Nice job on the bike dude!
killer build. DIY status. freak people out who build shit for a living. cant go wrong. haha!
Ill trade my Harley FX “89″ Low miles forward control Thunder Header pipe 80in. Bored out to 88in. Its clean with only 25k. miles
Great bike. Awesome bars and risers.
Great bike, right up my alley. The coffin box rapped in leather work is bitchin and those forward controls pretty cool too, as long as they work is really all that matters lol.
