I like your bike plus the nice different colored frame and gas tank, Ive been working on my so called; "Summer/Winter Project" now for about 5-6 months to my very, very, very, Clean Black/Gold/Chrome colored 1981 Yamaha XS-650-"Special" Motorcycle. My bike has been sitting in storage(garage) for over 7-8 years, and 6 months ago i made a "scary/tricky" health decision(after my serious back surgery), to give it a shot, and start my project going. To get a better understanding about what i am trying to say is i can only work on my project at a very slow but precise pace. I have limitations to be able to stand/lean/bend/sit/and walk for only 15-20 minutes at a time because of my pain and also mentally my lack of concentration, proceeded next right after having to switch positions or lay down with my legs elevated up in the air, rotating the uses of ice/heat and my tens-unit. My point or questions that i have for you phil is since i work at my own slow-ass pace, i have tons of time to be neat, precise and imaginative to really bring out and make noticeable its tri-colored paint scheme of Black/Gold/Silver/and Chrome. I noticed on your bike that you painted your frame gold, which stands out very nicely and your paint scheme and design on your gas tank looks very nice also but i would like to see your design/paint up close in a picture so i can see the shades/details of the gas tank. If you did your own bikes bodywork and paint job i would like to know if you can kinda explain/write down/give me some helpful hints and the "Do's" and "Do Nots" of painting and body work, i have a brand new paint gun and air compressor. I did alot of touch-up painting/decals/rims trying to bring out its tri-colors(coding) with touch-up (gold-black-silver-chrome)car paint(high-temp 800*) from auto zone. Come winter time my mother is buying me a complete set "air-Brush" Kit, and i also have the air paint-gun for painting bigger vehicles but i need like a "How To Book" or a print out of helpful hints, or a visual "How To Paint" DVD. Phil thanks for taking time out to read my Long BBOOOOKK"(ha-ha !!!), my comments email i wrote to you. I will try to attach my bikes picture files to this return comment email to you and if i am not able to attach the pictures files you can look for my bike in this web-site called;"xs650chopper.com" or u can send me a personal email or i can send you a email or even you can call me at (330)503-1639, Phil, i also forgot to mention to you that i am definitely putting my bike up for a offer/sale or also i am interested in a "TRADE" of some sort. I am lookn for a "Cafe'" style bike a 600 or higher size bike. hope to here from you phil real soon !!!!!!
