Write about your XS650.: Still in progress but i couldn’t help myself. I work on it for a few hours then sit on it and day dream for a few more. This is my second 650 but this time i went full commitment and hard tailed it. Learned all the leather tooling & gave it a go & opted for the dirt bike PRO-TAPER bars the paint is awl-grip flat black & i brushed it on the bars tank and soon to be mounted rear fender. My boy Murdoc was born 3 weeks back so i slowed down for a bit but its time to push through the home stretch and do this thing done. As soon as its assembled the final pic goes up, but for now im throwing this out there. Love this site.

Congratulations man!

Isn’t Awlgrip a polyester based boat topcoat paint to keep you from not slipping? it looks good!
looking good. i like the bars. where did you get them? what’s the width, rise, pull back on them?
Hello,
Thank you! I would now go on this blog every day!
awl-grip is a marine top coat, its urethane, usually sprayed on a epoxy primer but its not specificly for traction and is used on hulls & aircraft because of its resistence to fuel of all sorts. And im not sure on the pull back & other dimentions on my bars but they are stock protaper brand dirtbike bars with adaptor clamps also from protaper and love the feel on my rm 125 so right onto my xs they go.
