Homebru Coffin

Write about your XS650.: Anything more old skool than a coffinator? I built this one in 1971 from a shiny new XS1 (number 900) right out of the box. Started  with the stock frame and stretched that four inches  in the downtubes and three inches in the backbone. The forks are also stretched six inches. With the rake and stretch, the frame sits perfectly level. Added a Triumph hardtail with a few mods (they didn’t make XS hardtail kits back then), the coffin of course, Sebring electronics, charcoal metallic paint, and a Jardine 2-1 header system. The motor was left stock. Some gussets and a whole lotta moulding later, and thar she be.
