Write about your XS650.: Well here it is my 1978 650 special. I just got this bike from a storage auction,it only has 2,836 all original miles. The engine is pretty clean, other than a broken tappet cover. The oil hasnt even started to discolor, i dont think this bike ever made it to its first oil change, before it was put up. I do plan on hardtailing it. other than that i dont have much of a plan. i will try to keep up to date pics along the way.

nice bike i just picked up a 78 xs 650 myself with 9,000 original miles on it i have lots of ideas but no direction haha good luck with your bike
12″ mini apes, hardtail from tc brothers, and then let the imagination kick in!!!!!!!! I just purchased a 80′ special with 3000 miles. The comment you made about the oil is no bullshit,the oil on this one was ridiculously clean. good luck with your build.
