Jason’s 1979 xs 650 bobber

 Jasons 1979 xs 650 bobber

Write about your XS650.: This is a 1979 xs650 Bobber, This is my first build. I have always been into Harleys but they are too damn expensive to build these days. I built this bike for my wife so there for it’s not to extreme! We bought the bike bone stock for $500 then put $250 or so into the transformation. I built everything from scratch from the frame/bars to forward controls.

    Jason,

    Killer machine!

    How about some more pics?

(I’m digging the hot wheels collection as well.)

What’s the story behind the fork springs?

When i took the bike apart, the rear shocks looked to good to toss so i decided to put the springs on the front forks just to see what it would look like. It somewhat imitates a springer so i stuck with it.

Built it for your wife? Okay, it’s the “her’s”.The madness would be not building a “his”. The springs are cool. And different. But that’s what it’s all about. You got the tools and the talent and winter’s coming.Time to lock yourself in the laboratory.
