Finally got my 1982 Heritage together.. changed a bit from the earlier pics. Extended swingarm +4″. Pittsburgh Steeler theme… Just had it out for the first ride after the paint job, too bad it’s starting to get cold here. The mailman stopped me as I was pulling out of the driveway to check it out.
But you know it’s funny, I’m not as happy to be done with the job as I thought I would, I am going to miss those hours of therapy I spent in the garage with this. I may just have to go find another and do a Pittsburgh Penguin Theme!!

Hi there George. Nice bike. Here we go again (how have you got that shocks leaned over) look? Most seem to be bolt upright. Are the shocks shorter? Is the swing arm longer? Frame looks stock apart from the chop of the seat rail.
Sorry mate. Re-read the text. Wow thats a lot.
Thanks DaveO. Yeah, that 4″ made a lot of difference. One thing I found out yesterday on my ride was that I will need to remove the brackets for the center stand, I was hoping to leave them there because I could put the stand back on when I needed to. It is much easier to work on when it’s on the stand. I saw a post on making a lift and will try and find it again.

Hows the paint holding up on them carbs and engine?
The paint is high temp engine paint, I haven’t had enough good weather to run it much, but I think it should hold up.
