78 xs650 chop in progress part 2

Well her she is . My 78 xs650. Recently I replaced both tires, bars ,and headlight. I also stripped the gas tank so now its bare metal. All that is left is to fix the pipes because they hit the back of my leg, make a taillight and plate bracket and figure out what the hell I want to do with the rear fender.I think i might even put the seat back about 1 inch or 2.

What size tank is that? any issues with the length?

The tank is a from sportster. thanx for looking
Yup, you’re gonna want to move your seat back. I can see that it’s a TC bros. rear like mine. I moved the seat crossmember back as well. I,m using small block chevy valve springs for the seat. Was gonna use cchopper shox, but I just don’t like the look. Way more support and less squishy. I hope you can get those pipes to work. They look cool. Keep it up.
like the pipes they look just like mine on one of my bikes. makes the bike sound so much different.
