work in progress
- 15

This bike started with a freee motor from ol’ heck, another xs650 owner. made the frame made to my specs from dave huntress, single loop with a 6 over stretch. stock front end, shaved and powdercoated. wheels are 23 up front ith stock hub and rear is an 18, both have powdercoated hubs and wheels with stainless spokes.

my favorite part of the bike is the electrical box/oil bag, custom made and built in for that skinny look. all the fab work is done by carl bozsik. almost ready for paint and powdercoat.

Love the 23 front. cant wait to see the finished product. where did you get the rim from to lace to a stock hub?
xl500 has a 23″ front.
Rad bike man
Looking real good, cant wait to see when done
i got a 23 front wheel for sale. asking $100 plus shipping.
this bike is gonna be sick…great look…can’t wait to see when its all said and done.
Ray,
I’m interested in the 23″ front wheel if you’ve still got it? Email me at paul@akkasoccer.com if it’s still available.
Best of luck w/the rest of the build.
Thanks-
If I were to ever get the 23″ wheel… What would I use for spokes between the 500′s rim and the 650′s hub?
Buchanans for spokes. I’ve got a complete xl500 front wheel. wanna use it but wondering if i want the machining headaches. its a 15mm axle. anyone in So. cal wanna buy it? 50 bucks. shawn @ 951-970-8203
super nice work
lookin great man! really like the exhaust, any info on size and where you got the elbows to make it?
That bike is Gonna be sweet! So I was thinkin about using a 23″ xl500 rim with a stock hub on my bike. Would the rim lace up ok ? The xl500 wheel doesn’t have even inner spoke circles like the xs650 hub?
i like those bars thier great for ridin the solid yellow or dashd white in traffic
The Dave Huntress frame looks great, the single loop makes the engine look bigger and the extra frame lenght would be great for taller riders like me.I’m thinkin’ that this will be a sweet ride when finished, awesome!
How much stretch in the rear section.
