Angi’s xs650 update

noid DSCF1324 587x297 Angis xs650 update

Finally… I got my tins and frame back from paint and powder. The oil tank had some touching up to do, so I thought I would share some pics of what it looks like now.

Curtis Ping @ Gale Enameling, in Indianapolis. He’s the best, cheap and fast.

I have been following your work on this bike for a while, well done. Less is more, I always say, and the clean and simple look you went with is super cool. Say, is that a wide glide front end? Did Ardcore have to specially make the neck to accept the HD tree?

@BEN- This one turned out really nice for sure! It has a exilecycles.com look to it. The tires and tank really look good together.

Its a Harley wide glide triple tree with 41mm forks… wich needs a Harley neck (which is shorter and a bit fatter) The guys at Ardcore know there shit. Just tell em you want a Harley neck on your frame, and you can trust it will be correct. Thanks again for the comments. Its nice knowing your project that you have dreamed of, and poured sweat over, for many months hasn’t gone unnoticed. So thank you. Hopefully, my next post will be some video of this thing in action.

That’s a pretty wide tire on the back. Did you have to space the sproket to make it work? The ride looks good.

very cool. just sucks to have that big box on there. could u store the electonics in a fake oil tank or something instead? and are u going w/ internal controls or have u just not installed standard controls yet? unfortunately that always mucks up the look a bit but internal gets costly and doesn’t seem to function well.
