I have a 1975 Yamaha XS650, bought it from a friend of a friend who bought the bike new. I’ve had the bike for about 2 years now, was completely stock when I got it. So one day me and a friend started drinking and took the sawzaw to it.

I ended up giving the bike away after that, I didn’t want anything to do with it. So about 3 weeks about the kid gives me the bike back and i just went to town on it. I chopped the frame made custom hard tail with about a six inch stretch. Made custom 10 inch apes, custom battery/ electrical box, made a custom chain tensioner. I got a sportster peanut gas tank and a rear trailer fender.

Made custom forward controls out for miscellaneous parts. Bike still is not finished but getting close just waiting on money to finish should be done by next month. Going to make custom tail light license plate holder. Going to get four inch extended fork tubes, white wall tires front and back and a few other things. but its still a work in progress.

Looks to be coming along ,Im not shure the seat flows along with the rest of the bike, it sits really high & far back with the 6″ strech on the frame you must have some really long legs

O ya you could say i had to redo some stuff! But I got it all figured out now and the frame is strong and straight. Ya the seat is far back and it actually could be further back I am 6′ 4” so thats why. I’ve got the bike mostly done now just waiting on a few odds and ends to get it running like the electronic ignition, the front brake, and the +2” forks. o ya and the new white wall tires.
