Hi ya this is my xs softail project, its got a shock absorber off a yam RD 350 LC,need suspension cause as you can see from the pics im getting old now ha ha, I have got to make an electric/battery box,which i will make out of stainless.
I will put some stainless straight through exhaust pipes which i believe are illegal in the uk but dont care loud pipes save lives, congratulations on your web site i check it out most days

Just what kind of frame is that?
Hi ya tadd442 the frame was built by a company called route 66 in wallsall west midlands uk about 15 years ago its their version of a frame a company called uncle bunts used to produce in the late 80s which had a twin shock set up,route 66 are still in business ,uncle bunts sadly no longer exists,the single shock seems to work ok,if it softens up with use i will compress the spring and and put in a half inch spacer which should do the trick

Hell I’m gettin old too man, nice stretch on the frame it fits you well, you don’t look like balled over monkey sitting on her. Like to see her finished up so you can ride the shit out of her.
hi chris,i’m from market harborough leics.doing my own xs.bought last sept,chopped off back ,got mate to weld on tc bros hardtail,re-built me engine.now stuck on the footpegs!must have tried 4 diff places,still cant get quite right.god knows when i’ll be riding her.but i love it!!
Keep at it cris and it will happen,not done much on my chop due to being laid off work but working again now so hopefully some progress will be made over the winter
