Bought this’83 HS in ’02 for $475 site unseen because it was already registered in CA. The guy thought I was crazy but You can pay that much in DMV fees in CA.

I basically wanted to build a copy of a BSA I chopped when I was 19 in 1970. When I looked at old Beezers I remembered what a pain in the butt they were, and how reliable the XS was.

The hardtail was done by Dr. Johns who also shortened the vintage Harmon girder, which was originally 58″! Used vintage wire from Rode Island Wire and Sermos connectors for a real antique feel.
I’ve since sold the bike in ’09 and it has been sold on craigs list at least three other times with real outrages claims as to the build.
