Udo Sacher – German Bobber

xs650 noid DSC03822 587x396 Udo Sacher German Bobber

Udo Sacher from Germany sent in pics of his badass XS650 “NO NAME” back in 12 2009. Here are some pictures of his second xs650 he just finished… Udo built this xs for a guy out of Ulm Germany. The bike took him about 4 months to finish – working on it every couple of days. The Handlebars, battbox, fender and struts as well as the foot peg were all custom-built for the bike.

The soloseat is from Easyriders Japan, the Fuel tank is Axed Style for from CCI with a lower tunnel and the was reworked to fit.

The Taillight is a custom one off Handmade piece (see pictures) with a steel body and LED insert light.

The front sports a 19″ Avon MKII tire and rear 16″ Avon MKII (nice tires for a bobber) on OE Wheels.

The bike runs a Boyer Ignition and OE-Charging System with Custom Wiring by “Mag” (Udo’s friend from Boston/USA)

And the Exhaust System is a 2 into 1 System with a Muffler from a Harley Slash cut and Baffle inside.

If you haven’t already check out “NO NAME”.

    Thanks for the nice words about the paint job.
    This was my second try with candy paint over a metallic/metal flake base.
    It was fun to do.

    really nice work! There are some minor things that I would change, but thats just personal preference. In my opinion the bars, the signal lights (Ochsenaugen) & the exhaust could be changed.
    Exhaust reminds me of a fire extinguisher Hose :)

    @Voodootimm, Captain_Zoom
    Thanks for liking the paint job. It was the first of this kind for me (at least fish scales)….and it was fun as well
    @Jamie
    The job has a base color of very intensive gold pearl-metallic with a metallic underpaint and a ‘glitter’ layer . actually my painter wanted to throw this paint away and gave it to me. i do not know the exact name of the colors. but the base looked already awesome and sparkled like crazy without overly huge flakes. Scales were done with base coat black, already thinned down with 1K clear to use it with a fine airbrush – I could have used water based colors as well.
    The brown tone is achieved with House of Kolor Root Beer Kandy Koncentrate, with which i tinted 1K clear (colorless binder) in two variations. One for the solid and a very light tone for the brigther parts. This way i can control the opacity in the lighter sections a little better.
    Udo and I wanted to do this kind of combination for quite some time and the customer gave us free reign in terms of color.
    Hope that helped.
