Davethewrench – Here is a 1977 XS 650 that I put together for a friend in 48hrs including sleep and lot’s of beer drinking. He had this bike sitting around for about 4 years without the know how to put it together, so with my help we slapped it together and it run’s and ride’s great.

The stock 81 in the last pic is also my buddy’s and it has the Mikes XS 750 kit in it, but i like the 77 I built much better, now he has a cool ride for the summer..

XS 650’s FOREVER !!!

    Yes a video would have been so cool with all the beer drinking and smoking….LOL
    It went so fast because he had more than 1 of every part needed in plastic boxes left over from 7 other XS motorcycle he bought and sold over a couple years

    @ davethewrench hey man I bought the other bike from junior. He told me that you live pretty close. Just ordered up a brat kit and getting ready to put the moter back in. I would love to meet ya. Going to need some help with wiring….

    I think the tank and tail section were bought on ebay by the person my buddy got the bike from…El Gaucho said it was a CB200 tank…I wasn’t sure myself

    Yes, definitely a CB200 tank. I used one on Wabi Sabi so I know it well……. You’ll see that identical tank if you search for Wabi here on this site.

    Hey Kellan, I stop at fairways on quadra all the time, but riding one of my sportsters right now….My XS chopper will be insured for my wifes memorial ride on the 24th of June, see ya on the road !!!
