Cool Ray’s XS650

Ray Tanner – I started building this bike a couple years ago and just wrapped it up. It’s a Yamaha XS650 (1980) and has a TC Bros hard tail, Wassell repop tank from Cleveland Cycle works with a custom paint job from me. noid-DSCF0307_(1024x768)-xs650noid-DSCF0308_(1024x768)-xs650

The frame is powdercoated, the seat and forward controls were hand built by myself. The engine has a Pamco ignition, and a PMA from Hugh’s Handbuilt. When I received the bike from a neighbor, she had floated and bent one of the intake valves about 10 years ago. Now, she’s a blast to ride with a lot of power and not too much weight!

Wow great job, I like the touches of white , headlit, tank, pipes and wheel. Just enough to off set the black and give it pop. As for the rest of the bike friggenstripped chopped and awsome!! Where did you get that back wheel?

  3. Cool Ray says:

Thanks! The white wall came from TC Bros. The wheels are the stock mags, just powder coated. Thanks for looking!
